First Raw Of 2011!

The main talking point coming out of RAW had to be the fantastic opening match of the year which pitted The Miz defending the WWE Title against his old tag team partner and current foe John Morrison and what a match this was, some absolutely fantastic exchanges between the two men and a lot of emotion in the match. Both men got the crowd really red hot in this one and Miz manages to defend the title but both men came out of this one looking like real winners here. Their stock really rose on Monday night in my eyes and i do not think we have seen the last of John Morrison in the title scene, i am not a huge fan himself but the fans seem to be eating him up so it is good for business.

The other talking point of the evening was the Triple Threat Cage match for the number one contendership of the WWE Title. This really fell flat with Orton, Sheamus and Wade Barrett not really having their best efforts in there, it just felt really awkard and dragged at times, in the end Orton won after Wade looked like he had the match won Punk screwed him? Why would Wade trust Punk? It really made Wade look like a bit of a dumb idiot which is obviously not the case at all. Orton presumably goes to the Rumble and faces Miz and im not sure im hyped for yet another match between the two, you just wonder will WWE gamble on The Miz going into Wrestlemania as Champion or will they go with one of their top superstar faces in Orton? Should be an interesting lead up going into Wrestlemania! The blog is back!
